Job Summary
Janitor at Hamilton Nursing and Rehab in Detroit, MI. Maintains the facility by performing repairs to walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, and other building components; removes trash and maintains a clean and orderly environment; moves furniture and equipment as needed; coordinates daily maintenance activities with nursing staff in resident care areas; performs routine facility maintenance and repairs; responds to unscheduled or emergency maintenance requests; assists with maintaining facility grounds and common areas; ensures maintenance tools and equipment are used safely and properly; follows all facility safety, infection control, and maintenance procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning materials, maintenance equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
