Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness in commercial and medical building settings; perform routine cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting) and disinfect high-touch surfaces; empty and dispose of trash and medical waste; restock soap and paper supplies; assist with setup of meeting rooms and events; collaborate with maintenance to address cleanliness and safety issues; report maintenance needs; follow safety protocols for cleaning chemicals; requires reliability, attention to detail, infection control knowledge, and the ability to work in a team, with physical stamina for lifting and standing, and flexibility to work day and evening shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required
