Job Summary
Janitor to maintain cleanliness in commercial and medical building settings: perform routine cleaning (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting) of common areas, restrooms, and waiting areas; disinfect high-touch surfaces; manage waste including medical waste; restock dispensers; assist with setting up meeting/event spaces; collaborate with maintenance teams; report maintenance or safety issues; follow safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals; must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and flexible to work day/evening shifts. Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required
- Background checks will be conducted in accordance with applicable law
