Job Summary
Conduct routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms. Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons. Empty trash and medical waste, refill dispensers, and monitor inventory of cleaning supplies. Collaborate with maintenance teams to address cleanliness and safety issues, reporting repair needs promptly. Follow all safety protocols and procedures regarding chemical handling. Perform other tasks and projects requested by the customer or Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc team. Work Monday through Friday from 6 PM to 12 AM at 151 University Ave, Palo Alto, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required
- Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Employees must be able to be on their feet most of the day
- Background checks will be conducted in accordance with applicable law
