Job Summary
Janitor needed to perform routine cleaning in commercial and medical building settings, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting; disinfect high-touch surfaces; empty and dispose of trash and medical waste; refill dispensers; monitor inventory and notify supervisor when supplies are low; assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces; collaborate with maintenance/facility teams to address cleanliness and safety; report maintenance or repair needs; follow safety protocols for cleaning chemicals; support a range of tasks as requested by the customer and team. Strong attention to detail, infection-control awareness, and ability to work in a collaborative environment are required; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods; schedules include day and evening shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Understanding of infection control practices and maintaining sanitary environments
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work day and evening shifts as required
