Janitor, Full-time Minton Capehart Federal Building (AbilityOne Program)

Janitor position at Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana under the AbilityOne program, full-time at the Minton-Capehart Federal Building in Indianapolis. Keeps federal facility premises clean and orderly, including offices, courtrooms, hallways, lobbies, breakrooms, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas. Duties include cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, ceilings and trim, disinfecting furniture and equipment, polishing metalwork, washing windows and sills, emptying wastebaskets, transporting trash, replenishing bathroom supplies, setting up tables/chairs for events, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning carpets and draperies. Required competencies emphasize communication, general labor, and safety awareness. Background screening is required; moderate to hard physical work including lifting up to 25 pounds and exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.
