Job Summary
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms. Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons. Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste, refill dispensers for soap and paper towels, and monitor cleaning supply inventory. Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms, collaborate with maintenance teams on cleanliness and safety issues, and report repair needs. Follow all safety protocols for chemical handling. Work Monday through Friday from 6 pm to 2:30 am.
Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to be on their feet most of the day
