Job Summary
Maintain and clean all floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming, while following procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage. Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas; empty trash cans and use compactors for specific materials. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners, spot clean carpets, and assist in extractions and shampooing. Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies, and occasionally operate heavy equipment like floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers. Work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm at $14 per hour with weekly pay. On-the-job training provided; high school diploma or six months of janitorial experience required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Prior cleaning or janitorial experience
- Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing
- Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance
