Job Summary
Perform routine janitorial work maintaining office buildings and commercial premises in a clean and orderly condition. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and work areas; mix chemicals per Safety Data Sheets; sweep, mop, and polish floors, carpets, and fixtures. Move furniture, wash walls and windows, empty waste baskets, and transport trash to disposal areas. Monitor grounds, mow lawns, and replace light fixtures. Open, close, and lock facilities as needed while working around detained individuals. Morning shift runs 6am to 2:30pm or night shift 3pm to 11:30pm. Base pay is $17.75 per hour with medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits. High school diploma or GED required; one year of janitorial experience preferred. Valid driver's license needed if assigned to drive company vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Possess valid driver's license and maintain good driving record
- Ability to climb, bend, squat, lift and carry objects ranging from 10-60 pounds
- Occasionally push objects up to 100 pounds
- Prolong walking up to 90%
- Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening
- If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s)
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of prior experience working as a Janitor
- any combination of education and training which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the work
