Job Summary
Janitor/Custodian responsible for cleaning a community day service facility including offices, common program areas, warehouse, Cafe and restrooms, and exterior areas. Perform floor care (mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing), wash/sanitize surfaces (mirrors, stalls, walls, sinks, baseboards), vacuum and shampoo carpets, clean water fountains and telephones, follow safety procedures and manufacturers’ instructions, report equipment malfunctions, maintain supplies, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires 6 months janitorial experience or a janitorial-training program and a high school diploma or equivalent. Schedule is Monday–Friday 9 am–5 pm. Compensation is $17.80 hourly with full benefits; position is full-time.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in the janitorial/custodial field (or completion of a janitorial/custodial-training program)
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
