Job Summary
Conduct routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, cafeterias, and common areas, including disinfecting restrooms, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces. Empty trash bins, replace liners, clean glass surfaces, and maintain entryways and outdoor grounds free of debris. Assist with minor maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and conduct regular inspections to ensure spaces are clean, orderly, and safe. Monitor and restock janitorial supplies while reporting repair needs, safety hazards, or security concerns immediately to the supervisor. Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment. Work Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am at a rate of $18.00 per hour in Lombard, IL. Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
- ONLY Saturday AND Sunday 6:00 pm – 12:00 am
Desired Qualifications
- Prior custodial/janitorial experience preferred, especially in schools or large facilities
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment
- Ability to safely operate custodial machinery (e.g., vacuum, floor buffer)
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork
