Job Summary
Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, cafeterias, and restrooms, including disinfecting fixtures, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash bins. Conduct regular inspections to ensure spaces are clean, orderly, and safe, while reporting maintenance needs and assisting with minor tasks like replacing light bulbs. Keep entryways and outdoor areas clear of debris, help prepare rooms for events, and monitor restroom supply levels. Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment, and report hazards or support emergency drills as directed. Bilingual in Spanish and English required; two full-time positions available Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:00 am, with a pay rate of $17.00 to $18.00 COE.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Prior custodial/janitorial experience preferred, especially in schools or large facilities
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment
- Ability to safely operate custodial machinery (e.g., vacuum, floor buffer)
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork
