Job Summary
Janitorial Technicians sought to provide cleaning and sanitation services for office buildings and related facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning and facility maintenance (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors and stairs), cleaning restrooms and fixtures, sinks and countertops, dusting desks and windowsills, trash removal, recycling transport, stocking supplies, maintaining janitorial closets, using and maintaining cleaning equipment, following chemical labeling, dilution, and SDS procedures, reporting maintenance concerns, wearing PPE, following safety guidelines, and delivering professional customer service. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and safety awareness; prior janitorial experience is helpful but eagerness to learn is encouraged. Must pass a background check.
Required Qualifications
- Previous knowledge of performance-based cleaning or willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), or willingness to learn
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Must pass a background check
- Physical requirements: routine walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, moving materials; able to lift up to 50 pounds; team lift for items over 50 pounds
