Job Summary
Janitor - 3rd shift responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining production areas, restrooms, offices, and related facilities; operate and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, floor buffer) and use food-grade chemicals in compliance with GMP and food-safety guidelines; follow OSHA safety guidelines and SDS instructions; work in varied environments (cold storage, wet, hot production) and be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with overtime as needed. Emphasis on hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, safe chemical handling, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous sanitation/cleaning experience in a food plant preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work overtime
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Must comply with safety procedures including OSHA rules and GMPs
