Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of the Mount Juliet Distribution Warehouse, including floors, restrooms, and break areas. Empty trash and recycling bins regularly while performing routine inspections to identify and report safety hazards. Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance and repairs, and assist with warehouse-related tasks as assigned. Operate a manual pallet jack and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Follow all health and safety regulations and occupational hazard protocols. Work the 2nd shift schedule from 3:00pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday with flexibility for overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds, regularly
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack
- Ability to focus on details
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to count accurately and efficiently
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and leadership
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and their proper usage
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and machinery
- Ability to work the 2nd shift work schedule: Monday through Friday 3:00pm to 11:30pm CT
- This position requires schedule flexibility, as dictated by business demand and available resources including overtime at times
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Janitor or a similar role is preferrred
