Job Summary
The Ramp Agent oversees a variety of aircraft ground handling services, ensuring operational safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include marshalling aircraft, unloading and loading passenger baggage, cargo, and mail, servicing aircraft lavatories, and grooming passenger cabins. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and flexibility in work hours. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Driver’s License, and the ability to work demanding physical tasks under various conditions. Additional tasks include ensuring the availability of necessary ground equipment and performing administrative duties as needed. Candidates should be prepared for a professional appearance and adherence to grooming policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to speak and understand English professionally
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong self-organization and self-management skills
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
- Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time
- Must adhere to company grooming/uniform policy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends
- Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift
