Job Summary
Serve food and beverages to guests while adhering to health regulations, local liquor laws, and Portola Hotel and Spa brand standards. Follow standard recipes and policies for drink preparation, check guest identification for age verification, and recognize visibly intoxicated individuals to cut off alcohol. Complete accurate opening and closing inventory, ensure equipment is operable and clean, and arrange bottles for attractive bar displays. Maintain sanitation and safety standards in work areas, compute meal costs, present checks, and accept payments. Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays based on company needs. Requires California Food Handlers, ServSafe, and RSB Alcohol management certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- California Food Handlers / ServSafe and Certification
- State approved RSB Certification Alcohol management
- Minimum 6-months of Food & Beverage experience
- Detail oriented
- Ability to solve problems quickly
- Basic computer and phone skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays based upon company needs
