Jacket Operator (Weekend Shift, Days)

Job Summary
Assembles mechanical units and fabricated parts for sub-assemblies or finished products, sets up and runs jacket extrusion, reads simple work orders/blueprints, and ensures product quality and safety. Performs setup/shutdown of extrusion equipment, handles troubleshooting of minor malfunctions, maintains tooling and work area, and trains/cross-trains colleagues. Weekend 12-hour shifts (Fri-Sun) with days options; emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and adherence to procedures and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Technical training (preferred)
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting with responsibilities in extrusion (preferred)
- Ability to read simple blueprints (mentioned)
- Knowledge and Skills related to monitoring gauges/dials and equipment operation (preferred)
- Ability to lift at least 60 pounds (implied by physical requirements)
