Job Summary
Safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks to move product in and out of coolers, freezers, and designated production areas. Stage, transport, and organize materials to support production flow and cooler/freezer organization. Perform daily equipment checks, assist with maintenance tasks, special projects, and basic repairs. Follow all safety, food safety, quality, sanitation, and GMP requirements while maintaining clean work areas. Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and supervisory teams to coordinate movement and resolve issues. Work a 1st shift on-site in a fast-paced poultry production environment with occasional lifting to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to learn and perform a variety of duties in a poultry production environment
- Available to work assigned shifts, including overtime and weekends, as required
- Ability to follow safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), company policies, and departmental procedures
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- New team members must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work
Desired Qualifications
- Related production, manufacturing, food processing, poultry processing, warehouse, or general labor experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
