Job Summary
Manage the floor by coordinating team resources to cover all roles, ensuring compliance with Jack in the Box procedures, systems, and labor laws. Train and coach team members on workstation operations, guest expectations, food safety, and hospitality standards while holding employees accountable for uniform, grooming, and cleanliness. Monitor food quality, presentation, and temperature; oversee order accuracy, cash management, and POS usage. Lead the team through busy times by maintaining a calm environment, resolving guest complaints using the "Listens, Says Sorry, Makes it Right" approach, and ensuring all areas are visually inspected for cleanliness. Conduct on-boarding, provide feedback, and apprise management of potential employee issues. Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with order taking and cashiering during peak hours.
Required Qualifications
- 6 consecutive months JIB experience
- 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes
- 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment
- At least 18 years old
- Complete Team Leader training classes
- ServSafe certified (in certain states)
- Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Ability to speak another language to guests based on location of restaurant
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform and understand basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Proven analytical skills
- Good organization and planning skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative and willingly accepts responsibility
- Basic knowledge of personal computers and related software applications
- Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior
- Ability to stand and walk approximately 90%-95% of shift
- Ability to move freely throughout the restaurant
- Ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs
- Ability to listen to guests' orders
- Ability to operate a cash register
- Ability to read video monitors
