Job Summary
JAAM INSTRUCTOR - Seasonal position responsible for day-to-day supervision and implementation of the designated after-school program and curriculum at an assigned campus. Lead and explain activities, bring ideas to the program, enforce policies, supervise arrivals and departures, ensure safety and welfare of children and staff, maintain order, set up activity spaces, manage equipment storage, participate in staff trainings, and inform the Lead Instructor of problems. Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs, work indoors and outdoors, and effectively collaborate with the Recreation Superintendent and Lead Instructor to carry out program vision.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 16
- Experience working with school age children
- Ability to supervise and motivate children
- Ability to work with supervisor and co-workers
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate professionally
- Must possess or obtain Community First Aid and Safety/CPR/AED within 60 days of employment
