Job Summary
J1 Server role reserved for current J-1 student entrants. Servers provide guest-focused service including greeting guests, taking orders, delivering and clearing food and beverages, inputting orders into a POS, maintaining a clean service station, ensuring order accuracy, and handling checks. Must adhere to state/federal liquor policies for serving minors and intoxicated guests. Requires a high school graduate or equivalent (preferred), 18+ years of age, English communication skills, ability to stand/walk/carry trays, and a courteous, professional demeanor. Valid TABC Server Permit and at least one year of serving experience are preferred in a fast-paced, team environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to operate computerized POS system, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions
- Team Player, ability to work within a fast-paced, team environment
- Valid TABC Server Permit
- Prefer a minimum of one year of serving experience
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
- Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor with guests and coworkers
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
