Job Summary
Private Wealth Planner role at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. Responsibilities include providing unbiased customized wealth and financial planning advice to clients and prospective clients at scale; educating the integrated team about the value Wealth Planning brings to relationships; engaging with clients in financial planning, basic tax, trust and estate planning, retirement, educational and philanthropic planning, risk management, and asset allocation; structuring and presenting financial plans in simple, conversational terms; promoting the firm’s knowledge to external centers of influence; developing business opportunities with new and existing clients; and traveling among branches/offices as needed. Requires travel, a Bachelor's degree, CFP designation (or equivalent), and five+ years of experience in financial services; Series 7 and 66 required within 90 days of start date. Preferred skills include strong presentation, communication, and proficiency with financial planning software such as Moneyguide Pro, eMoney, or Wealth Bench.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent required
- Five plus years of experience in financial services including, but not limited to, financial planning, goals-based investing, financial advisory at a broker-dealer, RIA and/or a private bank, affluent/high-net-worth solutions, and retirement strategies
- Series 7 and 66 required upon hire or must successfully obtain within 90 days from start date
