Job Summary
Executive Director, Wealth Planner at JP Morgan Wealth Management leverages deep tax and trust & estate knowledge to communicate complex wealth planning concepts to clients and advisors. The role involves developing and presenting content on wealth management topics, integrating estate and tax planning concepts into goals-based advice, partnering with field leadership to drive regional strategies, staying current on federal/state tax laws, and promoting JPMorgan Chase’s wealth-management capabilities to external centers of influence. The position requires advising clients across the wealth spectrum, coaching colleagues and advisors, and traveling to local and out-of-state branches as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year college degree and either J.D., LLB, CPA or CFP
- 7+ years of practice as a trusts & estates lawyer, tax advisor, or financial planner
- Knowledge of securities-based compensation (restricted stock, employee stock options, etc.), pre-liquidity planning, and concentrated position management (10b5-1 plans, derivative-based transactions, and exchange funds) is needed or preferred
- Strong presentation and coaching skills; ability to work with Advisors and clients across wealth spectrum
- Ability to drive business results with broad background in trust and estate planning issues
- Familiarity with financial planning, investments, and corporate executive issues; travel to local and out of state branches as needed
- Preferred qualifications include Series 7 & 66; experience with financial planning software; knowledge of federal and state tax laws relevant to trusts and estates
