Job Summary

Define and execute strategic vision for financial planning tools, aligning technology capabilities with advisor and client needs. Assess the current landscape to identify adoption gaps and develop a multi-year roadmap for improvement. Drive advisor engagement by modeling best practices, implementing targeted interventions, and translating requirements into actionable product specifications. Partner with product, technology, and vendor teams to manage contracts, oversee implementations, and advocate for Wealth Planning's interests. Oversee centralized support and field-facing teams, including help desk operations and direct advisor engagement for training and tool-related questions. Represent advisor needs in product roadmap reviews and enhancement prioritization cycles. Lead change management efforts to shift advisor behavior at scale through expertise, trust, and relationship-building.

Required Qualifications

  • Hold an active Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent credential
  • Possess a minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in financial services
  • Demonstrate substantial experience operating at the intersection of financial planning and technology
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and executive presence
  • Bring experience in large, complex financial institutions with distributed sales forces
  • Show expertise in high-net-worth client planning
  • Demonstrate ability to drive outcomes through product partners, technologists, field leaders, and vendor organizations
  • Possess field credibility to engage with advisors as peers
  • Translate complex advisor and client needs into actionable product requirements
  • Articulate a compelling vision for world-class financial planning tool adoption and advisor support at scale

Desired Qualifications

  • Hold advanced credentials such as a Master of Laws (LLM) in taxation or estate planning, Master of Science in Financial Planning, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), or Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®)
  • Bring experience in wealth management or private banking at a wirehouse, major bank, or RIA serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients
  • Demonstrate prior success in roles combining direct client or advisor engagement with home office or product strategy responsibilities
  • Lead technology adoption or change management initiatives within large financial services distribution organizations
  • Show familiarity with regulatory and fiduciary standards relevant to financial planning
  • Possess ability to drive outcomes through influence, expertise, and relationship-building across product, technology, and field teams
  • Exhibit a sophisticated understanding of change management
