Job Summary
IV&V Software Test Engineer to support verification, validation, and quality assurance of mission-critical software systems for aviation diagnostics, prognostics, and health monitoring on U.S. Army aviation platforms. Develop and execute software test plans, perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing, verify requirements and maintain traceability, identify and track defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support corrective actions. Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test environments, conduct API, database, and interface testing, analyze results, and generate metrics and reports. Support software releases, customer test events, and technical reviews; collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of software test, quality engineering, or IV&V experience
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience developing and executing software test procedures
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies
- Experience with requirements traceability and defect tracking tools
- Experience with manual and automated testing
- Familiarity with C#, object-oriented software, REST APIs, SQL Server, and relational databases
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience supporting aviation, aerospace, or DoD programs
- Ability to work on-site at Redstone Arsenal
