Job Summary
Clean, maintain, and monitor the Sterile Compounding Room in accordance with USP 797 standards, preparing and filling prescriptions for long-term care residents and high-risk pregnancy patients. Support quality assurance processes, assist pharmacists with data entry and refill coordination, and stage medication orders accurately. Maintain and clean infusion pumps, replenish Emergency Drug Kits, and perform shipping and tracking for Alere packages. Collaborate with supervisors to ensure a safe, compliant environment and report operational concerns. Perform additional duties as assigned, including inventory management, phone answering, and area stocking.
Required Qualifications
- nationally certified
- Pharmacy Tech License for the state of MA
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
- 6 months – 1 year of IV Pharmacy Technician experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications
