IV Pharmacy Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
The IV Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare sterile compounding orders in a Class 100 clean room, following Polaris standards and State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Duties include data entry, staging and filling orders for long-term care facilities and high-risk patients, preparing sterile compounding, assisting with phone calls and dispensing-related tasks, maintaining pumps and equipment, and ensuring compliance with USP 797 and HIPAA. Requires ability to read/write/speak English, basic computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook), light lifting, and flexible shifts including potential overtime, holidays, and weekends. Provides support to the Lead IV Technician and Pharmacist as needed; environment is 24/7 with various shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
- Minimum of one (1) year working as an IV pharmacy technician required
- Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
- Experience working with medications, IVs, and filling prescriptions required
- Order entry and insurance billing experience required
