Job Summary

Initiate peripheral IV access, administer prescribed IV medications and infusions, and manage PICC lines, central lines, and implanted ports using sterile technique. Assess patients before, during, and after treatment while monitoring vital signs, vascular access sites, and patient response to complications. Discontinue IV access as ordered, maintain infection control protocols, and provide patient education on infusion therapy and vascular care. Accurately document assessments, treatments, and medications while communicating condition changes to the clinical team. Requires current Florida RN license, one year of recent nursing experience, and IV/infusion proficiency. Pay is $40.00-$45.00 per hour based on assignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a supervised setting within the past three (3) years
  • IV/infusion nursing experience
  • Proficient in peripheral IV insertion, including the ability to independently establish IV access
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Successful completion of required Relias competency and skills assessments
  • Valid AHCA Level 2 Background Screening or ability to obtain
  • Negative TB screening within the past 1 year or chest X-ray within the past 5 years
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with PICC lines, central lines, and implanted ports
  • Knowledge of vascular access device management, sterile technique, and infection prevention
  • Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to infusion-related reactions and complications
  • Home infusion and/or home care experience
  • Strong patient assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and provide safe, high-quality care in the home setting
