Job Summary
Performs general maintenance and custodial-type duties, routine construction and installation tasks related to exhibitions and minor interior renovations. Duties include painting, simple carpentry and dry-walling, light bulb replacement, setup/cleanup for special events (including outdoor art shows), routine snow removal, gardening tasks, packing and shipping artwork and Gallery Store merchandise, building crates for artworks, installing exhibitions, and providing occasional audio-visual projection booth services. Requires the ability to read and understand written/verbal instructions and typically 1-2 years of related experience; a valid NY driver’s license is required. Reports to Maintenance Superintendent or designate; no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years general carpentry or maintenance experience
- valid New York State driver's license
