Job Summary
Itinerant Site Director for the ASES program oversees safety, supervision, and program operations across designated sites. Responsibilities include opening/closing sites, maintaining clean spaces, applying disciplinary procedures with strength-based support, regular collaboration with the principal, supervising staff, ensuring accurate timecards, managing distance-learning devices, coordinating enriching activities (arts & crafts, sports, recreation, homework help) for elementary and middle school students, supervising attendance and snack records, ensuring timely administrative paperwork, and contributing to program-wide communications and HR-related matters. Requires experience in after-school or group childcare, supervisory background, and certifications in CPR/First Aid; 18+ with required college units or proficiency exam; valid fingerprint clearance and transportation capable for county travel.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have 48 completed college units OR pass the District’s Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam
- Must have either a minimum of 6 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field OR a minimum of 6 months documented work experience in an ASES program
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in an after school or group childcare setting with elementary aged children and/or middle school aged children
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid TB results (required every 4 years)
- Fingerprint Clearance (paid by Harmonium)
- Reliable transportation to travel through San Diego County; valid driver's license and current auto insurance
