Job Summary
Itinerant School Nurse responsible for promoting and protecting the health status of students while supporting their educational process. Provides health assessments and screening (including vision), maintains health records, develops and implements health plans and referrals, offers health counseling to students and families, administers medications, and collaborates with school personnel to address health-related barriers to learning. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, RN license, and WV School Nurse Certification. Strong emphasis on health education, immunization programs, IEP collaboration, confidentiality, and coordination with health resources to support student well-being and academic success.
