Itinerant Emotional Support Teacher

Job Summary
Itinerant Emotional Support Teacher responsible for planning, instruction, assessment, case management, and behavioral support for students receiving emotional support services. Provides direct instruction, specially designed instruction, accommodations, and behavioral interventions aligned to each student’s IEP, FBA, PBSP, and/or BIP. Collaborates with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators to support student access to the SLCS curriculum while promoting emotional regulation, social skills, executive functioning, positive behavior, and successful participation in the least restrictive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Special Education
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to inclusive learning practices
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in emotional support programming, curriculum adaptation, specially designed instruction, IEP accommodations, and IEP implementation
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavior intervention, FBA/PBSP/BIP development and implementation, data collection, progress monitoring, and positive behavior supports
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong research, planning, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students to support their development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google
