Job Summary
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, moves/adds/changes, lease management, refresh, retirement, and disposal. Maintain accurate asset records in the Asset Management Database by creating, updating, and validating data to ensure integrity, while performing proactive reconciliation between discovery tools and procurement repositories. Assess hardware data for compliance, identify anomalies, and drive remediation actions. Participate in internal and external asset audits, analyze client contracts and lease documentation, and generate monthly operational and governance reports using Microsoft Excel and Access. Engage directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams to collect asset data, support dashboard creation, and deliver services aligned with SLAs and KPIs. Ensure professional communication and customer-focused handling of challenging situations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the ITAM practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of experience in a Hardware Asset Management/IT Asset Management role
- Proven experience managing assets across all HAM processes, including New Assets, IMACs, Retirements, and Disposals
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM), including configuration awareness and AMDB/CMDB integration concepts and dashboard creation
- Proven understanding of how hardware asset lifecycle processes should be designed and configured within ServiceNow- end-user devices, but not limited to. This includes knowledge of lifecycle stages, statuses, state transitions, asset actions, and process controls across procurement, deployment, in‑use, refresh, retirement, and disposal for various hardware asset classes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, including reporting and dashboard creation
- Working knowledge of hardware discovery tools such as SCCM, Intune, Tanium, Qualys, or similar technologies
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Customer-oriented, results-driven, and capable of working independently as well as within a team
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure quality and timely delivery
Desired Qualifications
- An Industry Certification such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Hardware Asset Management (CHAMP) will have an advantage
- Experience working within a managed services environment and collaborating with global or virtual teams
- Familiarity with other industry-leading IT Asset Management tools is a strong advantage
