Job Summary
Italy Payroll Officer responsible for delivering Payroll & HR Operations processes in Italy and other EMEA locations in compliance with local regulations; serves as the first point of contact for queries on Italian payroll, governance of operations tasks, data privacy, and reporting; collaborates with stakeholders and outsourced providers, prepares standard/ad hoc HR reports, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the EMEA HUB. Requires fluency in English and Italian, a university degree in HR/finance/accounting (or related), 5+ years of Italian payroll experience, strong knowledge of Italian labor law and tax/social security regulations, and proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems and Excel. The role is based in Poland (Cracow or Gdansk) with responsibilities spanning Italy and additional EMEA locations.
Required Qualifications
- University degree - HR/finance/accounting preferred
- Fluency in English and Italian (Italian min. CELI 4)
- 5+ years’ experience in Italian payroll operations
- Excellent knowledge of Italian Labor law, Personal Income Tax and Social Security regulations
- HRIS and payroll systems knowledge
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and deadline driven
- Ability to work independently and in team-based environment
