Job Summary

Italy Payroll Officer role based in Poland (Cracow or Gdansk) supporting Italy and other EMEA locations. The role is part of the Global HR Service Delivery team and acts as a subject matter expert in Italian payroll, handling employment taxation, regulatory and statutory reporting, governance of operations, and acting as the go-to contact for Italian payroll and HR Operations queries. Responsibilities include delivering Payroll & HR Operations processes for Italy/EMEA in line with local laws, engaging stakeholders to build partnerships, handling employee queries, preparing HR reports, ensuring data privacy compliance, advising on legislative changes, and driving continuous improvement within the EMEA HUB.

Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Italian (Italian language min. CELI 4 level)
  • University degree - HR/finance/accounting preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in Italian payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of Italian Labor law, Personal Income Tax and Social Security regulations
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; excellent Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; strong communication and organizational skills
  • Time and Attendance rules knowledge; experience with data privacy compliance
  • Experience with outsourced payroll providers; governance and controls familiarity
  • Ability to deliver HR/Payroll reporting within SLAs
  • Detail oriented; deadline driven; able to multitask
