Job Summary
Develop and execute a focused sales strategy for Terroir Selections' Italian wine portfolio throughout South Florida by building relationships with sommeliers, beverage directors, and key accounts. Secure by-the-glass placements, wine-list placements, and promotional opportunities while expanding business within existing accounts and opening qualified new ones. Present wines professionally, conduct staff trainings, and represent producers with credibility to meet or exceed established sales, revenue, and distribution goals. Maintain an organized territory with a consistent schedule of account visits, follow-ups, and prospecting while submitting accurate sales reports and forecasts.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of successful fine wine wholesale distribution experience
- Direct experience selling wine to established on- and off-premise accounts
- Strong knowledge of Italian wine, including major regions, appellations, grape varieties, producers, vintages, and classifications
- Existing relationships with key wine buyers and decision-makers in South Florida
- A proven ability to open new accounts, expand existing business, and achieve sales goals
- Professional presentation, communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
- Excellent organizational and territory-management abilities
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a statewide sales team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- A valid Florida driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and acceptable automobile insurance coverage
- Ability to meet the requirements for a Florida Salesperson Beverage License
- Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds
