ITAD Technician I / Shipping & Receiving Specialist I

Job Summary
Receive and process incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damage or discrepancies. Unload, organize, and stage materials while labeling, sorting, and storing inventory in designated warehouse locations. Prepare outbound shipments with packaging, palletizing, and documentation, coordinating with carriers to ensure proper paperwork. Process incoming IT equipment for refurbishment, redeployment, resale, or recycling by identifying, labeling, and recording assets into inventory databases. Perform basic functional testing, clean, and stage equipment while supporting data security procedures and chain-of-custody requirements. Maintain accurate inventory transactions, assist with counts and audits, and follow all safety policies while operating warehouse equipment safely.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach above shoulder level, and twist while handling materials
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements, including grasping, sorting, scanning, and packaging items
- Ability to climb ladders or step stools as needed to access inventory
- Sufficient visual acuity to read labels, packing slips, inventory documents, and computer screens
- Sufficient hearing and communication ability to safely work around equipment and interact with team members
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Desired Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or logistics experience
- Experience with inventory management or warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Experience working with computer hardware, electronics, or IT equipment
- Familiarity with barcode scanners and inventory tracking systems
