IT Technology Manager - Software Application & BI

Job Summary
Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of software applications, overseeing design, development, deployment, and maintenance of BI solutions, dashboards, and reports to enable data-driven decision making. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineering, and IT Operations to translate requirements into technical solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of platforms. Manage a team of developers, BI analysts, and technical leads through mentorship and performance management, while driving innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and BI trends. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and resource plans for software and BI projects, and establish KPIs and SLAs to measure performance. Coordinate with third-party vendors for software and BI tools.
Required Qualifications
- 10 – 15 years
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software application development and Business Intelligence
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams in application development and BI delivery
- Expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling
- Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and project portfolios
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in project management (PMP, Scrum Master) or BI platforms
- Experience with Big Data technologies and advanced analytics
