Job Summary
IT Technician at Grand Lake Health System responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and communications problems on hospital computer systems; performing hardware repairs and maintenance on PCs and peripherals; providing advanced hardware support, system upgrades, and configuration; installing and configuring new computer systems; researching hardware for customized configurations; documenting progress of projects; training end users and employees; and performing miscellaneous duties as assigned. Requires strong end-user communication, ability to work independently, and relevant Microsoft operating systems training.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate with the “end” user to assist in training and problem solving as well as be able to communicate on a technical level with software and hardware vendors.
- Be able to maintain a pleasant attitude and have an excellent rapport with the users.
- Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision.
- Education/Certifications
- High school diploma with 3 to 5 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Must have training in various Microsoft operating systems and personal computing products.
- Experience
- 3-5 years experience in computer system comparable to current installed system.
