Job Summary
The IT Technician will provide technical support and assistance to computer users, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving software, hardware, and network problems. Responsibilities include setting up new computers, troubleshooting desktops and laptops, and resolving networking issues at agency sites. Essential skills include knowledge of the full O365 suite, phone issues (VoIP, PBX), and remote troubleshooting using LogMeIn. An Associate's degree and relevant certifications are required, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- CompTIA A+ / AZ-900 — Azure Fundamentals / MS-900 — Microsoft 365 Fundamentals / SC-900 — Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Able to physically install networking equipment when necessary
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional work after hours or weekends
- Must be able to drive agency supplied vehicle to remote offices within NYC
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field preferred
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- Understanding of Windows OS, Group Policy, Active Directory, and Microsoft O365 applications
- Comprehension of networking, hardware, and application systems
