IT Team Leader, Perceptive Discovery

Job Summary
Monitor IT service metrics against KPIs to ensure operational availability and adherence to Service Level Agreements. Lead the on-site team in delivering IT projects, managing workloads, and maintaining up-to-date documentation while proactively reviewing equipment to reduce clinical and pre-clinical risks. Interface with the Quality team to ensure all processes comply with GxP/GCP standards, manage the risk register, and control site IT expenditure through capital expenditure recommendations and financial forecasting. Maintain technical proficiency in networking, virtualization, backup technologies, and cloud platforms within a regulated life sciences environment. Collaborate with US colleagues to support the Discovery IT strategy and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth technical knowledge of Networking and Virtualisation technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Broad understand of Microsoft 365 services
- Proficient in backup technologies (Veeam/Acronis)
- Proficient in Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
- Maintains an up-to-date awareness of trends, tools, technology, techniques and processes that affect technology within the Life sciences domain
- Industry recognised technical certification (e.g. Microsoft/AWS/VMware/CompTIA/Veeam)
- Proven experience in regulated environments (GxP) or relevant experience from another domain that is transferable
- Previous line management or leadership experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of Agile or DevOps methodologies
- English: Fluent
