Job Summary
The IT Systems Technician III ensures reliable workstation performance by managing hardware needs, resolving failures, diagnosing and troubleshooting endpoint issues, and administering both Linux and Windows systems. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining mobile solutions, executing installations and upgrades, and monitoring service delivery. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in systems administration, or an Associate's degree with 4-7 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in technologies including Microsoft 365 and virtualization tools, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is essential. Participation in on-call rotations and off-hours support may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or similar programs, or equivalent certifications with practical experience
- 2-4 years in Systems Administration and a minimum of 2 years in infrastructure/network design
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant IT field or equivalent related experience
- 4-7 years of systems administration or endpoint engineering work
- A+ or Dell hardware certifications
- Strong knowledge of hardware, OS, and networking
- Automation skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Experience in at least three areas of specified technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Mid-level expertise in computer hardware and operating systems
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and enterprise-grade devices
- Experience with programming and scripting for automation
- Proficiency in project management methodologies
- Experience in Collaboration Technologies (O365, Cisco WebEx)
- Experience in Mobility Technologies (Intune, zScaler)
- Experience in Single Sign-On (Microsoft)
- Knowledge in Core Workplace Services (Windows XP–11, AD, DNS, DHCP, File Services, SharePoint, SCCM/Adaptiva)
- Experience in Virtualization (VMware, Citrix)
