Job Summary
Provide hands-on onsite IT support for end users, workstations, mobile devices, printers, and plant-floor technology including barcode scanners and label printers. Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user access issues while installing, configuring, and upgrading computer peripherals. Manage user accounts, permissions, and device provisioning for Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications. Support networking infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and LAN/WAN connectivity. Monitor network alerts, assist with server configuration and backups, and maintain technical documentation and equipment inventories. Train end users on technology best practices and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex issues.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related technical support role
- College diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
- Experience with user account administration, permissions, and device provisioning
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, switches, and firewalls
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and take ownership of issues through resolution
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and learn new hardware and software
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment, including regular presence on the production floor
- Periodic travel to support company facilities in the U.S. and Mexico
- Occasionally lift or move equipment and supplies up to 30 pounds
- Occasional extended hours or weekend support may be required
Desired Qualifications
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification
- Experience supporting manufacturing or plant-floor technology
- Experience with server administration, virtualization, backups, or disaster recovery
- Experience supporting IT controls or compliance requirements such as ISO 27001 or SOX
- Experience with network infrastructure and troubleshooting
