IT Systems Specialist

Job Summary
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems across office, warehouse, and remote locations. Troubleshoot and resolve employee IT support issues related to workstations, printers, scanners, handheld devices, and connectivity. Assist with system setup, upgrades, account management, and hardware replacements while documenting all support activities. Educate users on security best practices and escalate complex issues to leadership or vendors as needed. Support technology projects, inventory tracking, and process improvements while maintaining confidentiality. Work overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations to accommodate business needs. Partner with site leadership to align technology solutions with operational goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, access, printer, scanner, and basic network-related issues
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, operating systems, and basic network support
- Ability to install or upgrade hardware and software components
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees, leadership, vendors, and IT team members
- Strong customer service skills and ability to assist users with patience, professionalism, and urgency
- Ability to organize work, prioritize support needs, and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling system access, employee information, business information, and technology-related matters
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, after-hours support, participate in an on-call rotation, and accommodate schedule changes as required by business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
- Previous experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, systems support, or technical support
- Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, distribution, or 3PL technology environments
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related business applications
- Experience with Windows operating systems, user account setup, device configuration, and basic system administration
- Experience supporting printers, label printers, scanners, RF devices, handheld devices, or warehouse technology
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, network security, and user access controls
- Experience working with vendors, service providers, or third-party technology partners
