IT Systems Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary
Conduct Quality Control inspections for IT systems, including premises wiring, telecommunications rooms, and outside cable plant infrastructure. Perform walkthroughs, validate installation procedures, and witness IT testing while maintaining QC checklists and logs. Witness critical aspects of outside plant construction such as concrete encasement and mandrelling. Provide installation and operational support for voice and data communications hardware and software systems. Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and maintain communications systems. Configure operating systems and security patches for host and distributed systems, implementing incident response procedures during security breaches. Comply with prescribed customer, industry, and agency standards. Requires a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in computer science or engineering, a SECRET security clearance, and experience with TIA and ANSI standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and 0-5 years of experience
- Associate's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and 7+ years of experience
- SECRET security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Up to five (5) years experience in IT installation and testing
- Experience with optical fiber and copper cable testing
- Experience with grounding, bonding, and shielding
- Familiarity with ANSI/TIA standards
- Familiarity with military IT/construction projects
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to ambulate throughout a building and between several buildings
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
