Job Summary
Provide Level 1 IT support for internal users regarding computer systems, software, hardware, and basic network issues. Maintain operating systems and end-user computing environments through routine tasks like backups, file maintenance, and recovery. Assist with software updates, patches, and configuration while monitoring network activity, firewall rules, and security alerts. Manage software licensing records, Active Directory, and Office 365 user administration. Document issues, resolutions, and procedures strictly following company IT policies and security standards. Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned by the manager or mentor.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Basic understanding of Windows OS, computer hardware, and networking concepts
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
- Customer-service orientation and patience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, learning-focused environment
- Willingness to support a 24/7 operational environment (shift-based, if applicable)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow defined processes
- Ability to move within office and IT environments, including occasional access to server or equipment rooms
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift or move IT equipment up to 40 pounds with assistance if required
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands and wrists
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to Active Directory, Office 365, antivirus tools, or basic networking/security concepts
- Prior internship, lab, or academic project experience in IT support or systems administration
