IT Systems Engineering Manager

Job Summary
Plan, schedule, and assign work to Systems Engineers while monitoring team function and ensuring proper training. Independently review operating system administration, perform proactive monitoring, and prepare upgrade proposals to maintain a stable environment. Manage server and OS installations, enforce change management practices, and coordinate ongoing maintenance. Provide 24/7 on-call support for the Casino's primary gaming system, troubleshooting root causes and making judgment calls on resource allocation or on-site escalation. Partner with the Applications Group to align system strategies with the IT mission and ensure accurate documentation and project tracking.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science or other related technical field and/or minimum equivalent experience of six or more years working in an IT environment
- One year of leadership experience in an IT environment is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure) is a definite plus
- Highly experienced in managing a multi-server distributed environment or distributed network
- Experience with VMWare, Nutanix, and other Hypervisor tools
- Experience with the following operating systems; Windows 200x, AS/400, AIX, Linux, and UNIX
- Understanding of Active Directory, VMware, IBM SAN/disk technologies, and networking is a must
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and writing skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
- Demonstrated experience working with gaming and/or hospitality systems
