Job Summary
IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure for engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise operations in the automotive industry. Responsibilities include managing Windows, Linux, and hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS); overseeing Active Directory, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and enterprise storage/backup; ensuring 24/7 reliability of mission-critical environments; developing automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to improve efficiency; implementing cybersecurity practices aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST; supporting disaster recovery, patching, and vulnerability remediation; collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to deliver MES, ERP, and PLM integration; providing Tier 3 support and documenting system designs and procedures. Requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and 5+ years of systems engineering experience; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering
- Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration
- Expertise in cloud integration (Azure, AWS) and hybrid computing strategies
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation frameworks
- Familiarity with networking (InfiniBand, Ethernet, VPNs, firewalls) and storage (Lustre, GPFS, SAN / NAS)
