Job Summary
Execute assigned project tasks including server, cloud, and networking hardware configuration; assist in client onboarding via site assessments and monitoring agent deployment; perform technical migrations to Microsoft 365 and Azure; set up firewalls, switches, and wireless access points for network refreshes; create technical documentation for the Support Desk; and resolve implementation hurdles by escalating complex architectural issues. Work involves lifting up to 50 lbs of equipment, installing hardware in data centers, and participating in an on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and extended hours. Requires proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure, Hyper-V, and Windows Server environments.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and basic Azure services
- Experience configuring and maintaining Hyper-V virtual machines or equivalent
- Solid understanding of VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules within a business environment
- Competency in managing Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and file permissions
- Ability to produce clear, concise network diagrams and technical asset lists
- Ability to manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively within a project team and interacting with client staff
- Capacity to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to diverse client environments
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 50 lbs
- Correctable vision sufficient to read system logs, labels, and status indicators
- Participation in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during incidents, maintenance windows, deployments, or disaster recovery events
